Where's The Best Fjord In Canada? Arguably Princess Louisa Inlet

Updated: May 10, 2023

There are many beautiful fjords in Canada, but Princess Louisa Inlet in British Columbia is arguably the best. This stunning inlet is surrounded by towering mountains and is only accessible by boat. Princess Louisa Inlet is located in Princess Louisa Marine Provincial Park, the northeast end of Jervis Inlet and is home to some of Canada's most incredible natural beauty. The fjord also has glacier-fed waters from glaciers in the extreme Alpine mountain tops in the Coastal mountains, with one massive waterfall along with hundreds of smaller falls best seen in May through the end of June due to spring water runoff as the snow pack melts in the Spring.

You can even nose the bow of our tender Toy Bin under one of the waterfalls for a bit of a cold shower!

The water surrounding Princess Louisa Inlet is crystal clear, so you can see fish swimming and birds flying overhead while you relax on your luxury yacht charter at the end of your day's adventure. You can also hike through forests along the shoreline to get a closer look at the wildlife that lives here—and maybe even spot some bears!

It is a 1km easy to a moderate loop trail that winds through the forest to a rock outcropping where two benches are placed overlooking the inlet. Access is from Dingy dock and past the campsites.
